Brethren,

As we begin an exciting new Masonic year we are looking forward to serving the lodge and

Accomplishing new goals. Each year we get a fresh start at this time of year as new officers

Fill their places and stations with pride and anticipation of what the new year will bring.

We look forward to serving the lodge to the best of our abilities. With your help we can

Make this a great year.

Fraternally,

From the South.

Officer-Involved Shooting

Ten Dallas Police Officers fatally shot a suspect in Southeast Dallas on December 27, 2009 . Actually, it was more than ten. But I represented ten of the involved officers because I am an attorney who represents police officers. Where were you the Sunday after Christmas? What does this have to do with masonry?

Organizations, large and small, government and private, fraternal and corporate, successfully operate only by paying strict attention to the needs, aspirations and concerns of people. Successful corporations, either fraternal or private, can trace their success directly to the amount of concern that they exhibit for the people they serve. I dropped everything the Sunday after Christmas and headed out to the scene of an officer-involved shooting because of the people I represent. Those people matter.

But before I was able to do that, I had to receive a telephone call to let me know that I was needed. There is a system in place: what number to call; who to ask for; what to say. Our Lodge wants to be successful. I will drop everything for you. I want to serve. I want to pay strict attention to your needs. But I need you to tell me a few things: what do you need; what are your aspirations; what are your concerns. Please let me know. My cell number is 214.755.2583. If you prefer email, I can be reached at clivingston@lyongorsky.com.
